About
Inés Cardó is a Peruvian/Spanish artist based in London. Her work explores the colonial legacy of the Global North in Latin America, and how bodies become archives to these experiences of struggle and resistance. Currently, she is researching the history of extractivism in the continent, where gold mining occupies a central space. She understands the extraction of natural resources as a continuum with the extraction of knowledges, cultural artefacts, and bodies through migration.
