Mecha Oris

This project explored the question, “If AI fulfils our emotional needs and we become reliant on it for communication, could it erode human relationships, autonomy, and freedom of expression?”. We developed a 3D printed mouth piece/mask and a conceptual timeline that shows a potential future for humanity in which we allow AI to have increasing influence on how we communicate and make decisions. We visualised how the device would transform and physically change the wearer over a long period of time. Taking influence from sci-fi cinema, body horror, fashion, and parasitic relationships in nature.
