About

Mirey is an artist whose work explores storytelling through both visual and material means. With a deep interest in the relationship between material and the social body, her practice delves into the “unseen” that exists among us, examining the body as a whole, embracing spirit, consciousness, and physical form.

Specialising in fashion design, Mirey works across disciplines, blurring the lines between costume, sculpture, and set curation. Her approach is deeply narrative-driven, constructing immersive worlds where garments, objects, and spatial elements come together to create layered, multidimensional experiences. Whether through intricate textile manipulations, experimental materials, or carefully curated compositions, she crafts pieces that extend beyond clothing, existing as artefacts of larger, unfolding stories.

Central to her practice is an exploration of presence and absence, the tangible and the intangible. Through mixed media, she engages with materials as carriers of meaning, shaping them into forms that evoke both personal and collective memory. The way she constructs and arranges her work – whether in a staged environment or worn on the body – emphasises a sense of ritual, transformation, and the unseen energy that connects people and spaces.

By merging artistic disciplines and challenging traditional boundaries, Mirey creates work that is both theatrical and introspective, encouraging the viewer to engage with the hidden dimensions of existence.
