Dog Squad

Dog Squad is a prototype for an app that acts as a care guide to help new dog owners navigate how to best care for their puppy’s needs in a simple and accessible way. Our team connected through our shared love for dogs. When initially sharing stories with one another we realised that all of our dogs each had some levels of anxiety, which we found curious. We wanted to find a solution for the manifestation of anxiety in dogs. By creating a detailed care guide for dog owners to help pay attention to their dog’s needs and reduce anxiety it will lead to a better dog/human relationship. To enable this idea into a prototype we created a mock proposal of a functioning app which will be broken into two sections. Firstly a quiz that asks potential owners life style questions and how they would react to certain dog centric scenarios, and then suggest a dog breed that would best suit them. The second part of the app is a detailed activity tracker which acts as a calendar which will give updates on certain milestones dog owners should be targeting within the first six months of the puppies’ lives, which they then can use as a diary to update as they wish. The user will also be able to find useful advice for dos and don’ts, as well as a guide for health, behaviour and training goals. The app functions as an interactive helping guide for dog owners!
