ETERNAL PET

About
According to our team’s research, the design industry has undergone profound changes in recent years, both globally and locally, with a growing focus on human emotional needs. However, there are still some issues that merit critical reflection in the process.
It’s worth noting that a large number of brands use emotional design as part of their marketing strategy rather than really caring about the user. For example, some social media platforms offer an “emotional experience” but the algorithms behind them are more focused on keeping users engaged than actually promoting well-being. This phenomenon of “emotional manipulation” is worth watching. The contemporary design industry is increasingly concerned with human emotional needs at both global and local levels, but there are still many challenges along the way. It is an important topic worth thinking about in the future for design to truly create a deep and sustainable emotional experience in a commercial and global environment, rather than becoming a short-term marketing tool.
In response to the above problems, our team decided to regard Gen Z users as the main consumer group, and proposed to strengthen the protection of user privacy in the design process of “smart” design and advocate users to use the product personally, so as to improve the depth and sustainability of the product. Our main concept is to enrich the emotional experience of users and help them enjoy life better.
Our team decided to use the camera of the electronic device to break through the limitations of space and design a personalized electronic pet through interactive software. The software system generates a pet form that meets their needs through the collection of mobile phone information and the user’s self-introduction, which will accompany the users to grow together, identify the user’s emotional state in real time, make interactive actions according to different emotional needs, and guide the users to get rid of emotional defects and better enjoy life. In order to prevent users from becoming addicted to electronic gadgets, the game will remind users to pay more attention to real life through the form of tasks.
