Im Migrant
About
Im Migrant is a collaborative zine that emerged from conversations with the East and Southeast Asian (ESEA) Community Centre in North London. The project explores the personal dimensions of migration, shifting focus from narratives framed through political or legal perspectives. It centres lived experiences of identity and belonging, revealing the everyday realities of those who move, settle, and redefine home.
From language and food to intergenerational shifts and feelings of unfamiliarity, each conversation reflects the complexities of being both new and rooted. The zine acts as both a platform and a dialogue that invites us to rethink how we understand migration and community.
