META ARCH LAB

About
Our creative inspiration stems from an exploration of the collective unconscious. In the early stages of research, we conducted an in-depth analysis of Carl Jung’s theory of the collective unconscious. Each member of the group contributed their perspectives, and through our discussions, we came to understand that this level of the unconscious is not unique to the individual, but rather a shared psychological foundation of all humankind. At its core lies the concept of ‘archetypes’ — primordial images that reflect universal human experiences, self-imposed laws, and emotional instincts.
These archetypes transcend the boundaries of time and culture, revealing a cross-cultural universality and a capacity for transmission across generations. We recognised that while these archetypes manifest differently across cultural contexts, their essential meanings remain consistent. For instance, both dreams and religion represent intangible realms governed by unseen laws — yet they compel adherence in profound ways.
Therefore, this project seeks to extract and reimagine these archetypes through visual storytelling, aiming to explore how they mutate and flow within diverse cultural frameworks. Ultimately, we invite viewers to reflect on the shared dimensions of human inner experience and the ways in which cultural identity is constructed.
