“How can we eliminate people’s fear and prejudice toward new foods for sustainable and healthy diets?”

According to the United Nations, the global population is expected to reach 9.8 billion by 2050. With rising calorie consumption per capita, food production must increase by 70% to meet global demand. In this context, sustainable and biodiverse food systems, carbon footprint reduction, and alternative proteins can no longer be overlooked.

Our project, NeoEats, is a speculative food brand designed to reduce fear and rejection toward future foods. We believe that increasing transparency around food information, enhancing intuitive sensory experiences (such as visuals and flavor), and integrating sustainable development values are key to shifting perceptions.

We created a series of sustainable food menus using unconventional ingredients such as duckweed, cultured meat, insect protein, upcycled kitchen waste, algae, and kelp — aiming to spark curiosity, conversation, and ultimately acceptance.
