PHANTASMAL SHAN HAI

This project focuses on the analysis and reinterpretation of ancient Chinese stories and texts from Shan Hai Jing (Classic of Mountains and Seas). By selecting one or two chapters, we aim to reconstruct the images of mythical creatures and environments described in the text, reimagining these traditional elements with a fresh visual language and narrative approach.

The goal of the project is to digitally reproduce the texts, characters, and environments depicted in Shan Hai Jing, making its content and stories accessible to a broader audience. While breathing new life into these cultural narratives, the project aims to ensure their relevance and resonance in a modern context.
