Temporal Emotions of the Environment
About
Our project, titled ‘Temporal Emotions of the Environment’, aims to explore how people emotionally respond to environmental change, revealing the complex connections between humans and their surroundings. These emotions include nostalgia for past environmental conditions, frustration with current environmental injustices, and shared hope for a better future. To this end, we designed a futuristic planter made of biodegradable PLA (a 3D printed material) combined with plant seeds. The planter is paired with an interactive print/digital magazine. By planting seed-infused leaves in the planter and scanning the NFC tag on the magazine, users can collectively express their ideas and green hopes, creating a sustainable, technology-driven experience. This project aims to be more than just a communication tool – it is a platform for community engagement, driving collective action and raising ecological awareness.
