The Power on toilet wall

This project looks at the power of the toilet wall. Through research into the prison industrial complex from Britain to China, this project aims to create a space for individual resistance within the relative privacy of the toilet. This project transforms the toilet space into a more free and open expressive environment. We invited viewers to engage with this space by writing and drawing on the walls, participating in the reconstruction of this once-hidden space. We aim to give a voice to silent resistances, offering a response to historical, social, and spatial violence within the everyday and often overlooked spaces.
