The Silicon Brain
About
Humans often project their own cognitive frameworks onto artificial intelligence, imagining that AI “sees” or “understands” the world as we do. In truth, AI operates through algorithms — processing images and data not with perception, but with mathematical logic. The outputs it generates may imitate human-like responses, yet they lack genuine sensory experience or consciousness. As a fully human-made construct, AI’s “thoughts” and development are not self-derived but entirely shaped by human design, reflecting our biases, limitations, and thinking patterns.
Our project explores this complex relationship through a rational and critical lens, aiming to dismantle popular misconceptions and encourage deeper reflection on AI’s true nature. By highlighting the contrast between artificial and human cognition, we hope to provide a platform for dialogue about future coexistence — one that recognises AI not as an imitation of humanity, but as a fundamentally different system shaped by us, for us.
