Wellbeing At The RCA

Our Across RCA group focused on assessing the state of students’ wellbeing at the Royal College of Art through contextual research, peer feedback, and participatory pop-up booths on each campus. We aimed to highlight potential gaps between the perceived and actual needs that students may experience during their RCA experience. Student feedback revealed many themes, such as the need for counselling services in multiple languages, financial strain of supplies, and spaces that can invite more interdisciplinary connection. Through engaged primary research and secondary research exploring solutions integrated at other universities, our proposal offers a clear and focused approach to promoting accessible, inclusive, and meaningful wellbeing initiatives at the RCA.
