Junyu Qu

I’m Junyu Qu, a textile designer originally from China, currently based in London. Obsessed with Traditional Folk Ethnic Culture and textile making, I am particularly passionate about Tibetan Buddhist Thangka painting. I use textiles as a medium to express my study of the Thangka and my inner world. I have found inner peace through drawing Thangka and hope to bring this peace to my audience and help them find a way to link with their own inner worlds. Knitting work and drawing methods are the core of my practice.
