About

Marie Lehmann, is a 24-year-old German spatial designer and multimedia creative, currently completing her MA in Environmental Architecture at the Royal College of Art. Interested in the intersection of science and art, she merges her love for both disciplines to explore environmental and social injustices. She is particularly interested in botanical literacy and humanity’s evolving relationship with the natural world, exploring how reconnecting with non-human beings can shift perspectives on ecology, agency, and coexistence. Her ongoing projects challenge the human-animal hierarchy and advocate for interspecies equality to question the anthropocentric nature of social justice. She asks: If social justice is synonymous with equality, why should other cohabitants of our planet not be considered?
