LOU Meijia is a visual communicator from Wenzhou and Hong Kong.

Her work centers on urban space and migratory experiences, focusing on the psychological state, spatial memory and visual sense of belonging of outsiders in unfamiliar environments.

Taking her personal experience as a starting point, she tries to combine interviews, publications, archival research, workshops and installations to explore how architectural surfaces can become metaphors for identity, social class and urban history, and to record and present the observations and perplexities of outsiders in the city.
