About
I’m Mohana Krishnan, a Service Design student (2024–25 cohort) at the Royal College of Art. With five years of experience as a UI/UX designer and a background in Industrial Design, I’ve always been drawn to solving problems through a user-centric lens. As an aspiring service designer, I’m deeply fascinated by the complexity of real-life challenges and how thoughtful, systemic solutions can bring meaningful change. At the RCA, two key projects have shaped my journey: 1. Addressing obesity levels in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, and 2. Exploring the male partner’s experience of miscarriage and loss. These projects deepened my understanding of service design’s impact and potential.
Through the Across RCA project, I also discovered the power of self-expression and interdisciplinary collaboration. I learned that big ideas don’t always need to be loud—sometimes, it’s the small, subtle interventions that create lasting impact.
