A billboard advertisement for a company called "ETERNA" features a black background with white serif text that reads: "Preserve your essence. Perfect your legacy. We are the pioneering digital afterlife experience." On the right side, there's a digital face made of white dots and connecting lines, resembling a data network. The ETERNA logo is displayed in a futuristic font at the bottom left, and the website "eterna.com" appears in cursive at the bottom right.

About

Oishi Roy Dutta is a multi-medium artist and art director, whose work seeks to address the complexities of human experience in a technologically evolving world, exploring multidimensional existence and identity. She studies ocular politics, ethnicity, delving into modern myths, misinformation, and contemporary “human artefacts” and depicts them visually.

Her practice addresses a novel human experience, our digital multidimensionality in an increasingly complicated social structure. In response to the relentless surge of consumerism and the pervasive influence of targeted ads urging people to buy more, she found herself caught in an obsessive cycle of scrolling through the web, questioning the worth and value of organic existence, asking questions such as does data die, does a fish swim on the internet, how do social groups operate with a new medium of digital communication. Using mediums of filmmaking, drawing, and various digital tools, often relying on absurdity, humour and satire as her narrative devices, the artwork she produces is a reflection of the way people live their lives today. A collage of information, knowledge, data, and life. A flux of entanglement and multidimensionality.
