About

Oleksandra Umanska is an interior designer and artist who specialises in narrative-driven and speculative design. She practises her art through digital storytelling, merging fiction and reality.

As part of the AcrossRCA project, Oleksandra used narrative as a tool for critical reflection on the future of social systems. In Memora, a speculative platform for trading memories, she investigates the commodification of personal histories and the emotional weight of digital archives. She is particularly interested in how emerging technologies—such as AI and data aggregation—might reshape our understanding of memory. Could we one day reconstruct moments from the past using digital traces, and would others be able to experience them as their own?

Her work reflects a deep curiosity about how digital tools might preserve, distort, or even fabricate the ways we remember
