About
As a jewelry designer, I am committed to presenting social issues through the medium of art, aiming to spark reflection and awareness. In collaboration with the Rana Terra group, our project explores the impact of the climate crisis on small life forms, particularly the plight of the poison dart frog. Due to climate change, the poison dart frog faces the threat of the DB virus, which causes abnormal redness on their skin and brings them to the brink of extinction.
Against this backdrop, my work draws inspiration from the biological form of the poison dart frog and cellular elements, aiming to showcase the delicacy of nature and the fragility of life through jewelry design. I explore the relationship between life and the environment through exaggerated frog shapes and intricate cellular structures. My design can be worn as a brooch or pendant, with the poison dart frog as the central motif, combined with microscopic cell designs to create a vivid and delicate artistic effect.
This piece not only has visual impact but also, through its unique design language, calls attention to the profound impact of environmental changes on small life forms. Through jewelry as a medium, I hope to transform these complex social issues into tangible artistic expressions, inspiring deep reflection on the shared fate between nature and humanity.
