I’m Xinmiao, a textile designer from China, specializing in knitting, crochet, and biomaterials research and development. Currently, my work centers on creating functional and sustainable biomaterials and exploring their applications. During my design journey, I constantly think about the connection between people and material, I see it as a kind of self-expression, combining desires, moods, cultural backgrounds, and more, which is my initial motivation for thinking about material.
