Artist’s statement: Huang Yijia

Yijia Huang is a multidisciplinary designer from China, specializing in spatial, interior, and environmental design, with a passion for AI, painting, and visual arts. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and is pursuing a master’s in Interior Design at the Royal College of Art, focusing on design practice and theoretical research.

Yijia explores themes like AI, environmental crises, and cultural studies, aiming to address complex social and environmental challenges through innovative design. Her work balances aesthetics with a deep concern for humanity’s future and sustainability.

As a curious designer, she blends emerging technologies with art to create functional yet emotionally resonant solutions. Her interdisciplinary approach and diverse background bring unique creativity to the field, driving new possibilities in design.
