Yitao Huey Hu
About
Yitao Hu currently living and studying in London, attending the Royal College of Art in the Sculpture program.
Huey’s practice explores the adhesion of control, time-space, and memory, influenced by I Ching and figurative expressionism, seeking to convey a sense of fluid time within a limited canvas. Through rich textures and layered colors, I examine the interweaving of personal and collective memory, inviting viewers to discover hidden details and resonate with their own experiences. Painting and installation serve as temporal-spatial vessels, capturing glimpses of order within the folds of memory. From a phenomenological perspective, space is not merely physical but a convergence of experience and consciousness. Moving forward, I plan to integrate more installation elements to expand spatial expression, finding order within chaos as a source of creativity.
